Default File sharing - Not Enough Server Storage Is Available to Process This Command

If you are getting the error messages something like 'Not Enough Server Storage Is Available to Process This Command' then you need to check the event log first if there is any event created during this message displayed on the file sharing host side.

If you see the event ID 2011, it's the typical IrpStackSize issue and you need to increase the IrpStackSize from the registry. Because IriStackSize is too small, file sharing is limited.

The following message is from the Microsoft.

The server is configured with too many file system filter drivers (for example, Quota and anti-virus) and/or too many devices, or the irpstacksize parameter is set to less than the default of 15 stack frames. The irpstacksize represents the number of kernel modules that can store information in the input/output (I/O) Request Packet (IRP). The IRP is used to track I/O requests in the kernel.
User Action
The irpstacksize parameter can be increased by changing the registry value.
To change the registry value
  1. Using Regedit, open the following registry key:
    HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanServe r\Parameters\IrpStackSize
  2. In the Value data box, type 15.
The default size is 15 stack frames. Each stack frame is 50 bytes. If the value is less than 15, advanced users can safely set it back to 15. If 15 is too small, try increasing the number by increments of 5 until this event is no longer logged. Changing this registry key requires a restart of the Server service.

First of all, if you are not able to share your files from your home network even you already shared a folder, and getting the 'Not Enough Server Storage Is Available to Process This Command' error message as part of whole error message, then you need to work on the file sharing host side. The values of IRPStackSize could be different based on your working environment. So, the default value is not working, try to increase the value by 3 or 5 and restart the server service or reboot your system.
I've tested this on Windows 2003 server system and worked fine. Windows Vista & Windows 7 clients generated the error messages but after changing the IrpStackSize value from registry, it connected to shared folders without any more error messages.
