Default VMware 7 add the local IP addresses into DNS entry - causing performance issue

Problem: VMWare 7 workstation adds the local NAT addresses into the DNS and it causes the slow web response time.

Description: After VMware 7 installed, DNS shows the several extra host names with local IP addresses. This causes a severe performance issue if the VMWare workstation is installed on the web server. DNS is passing the local IP addresses to the web client and internet users from outside of local network do not recognize the IP addresses. Caused by this, web performance is drastically dropped down.

Solution: From the Virtual Network Editor, disable the NAT protocol and use the bridged network adaptor only. If you are using VMWare 7, the configuration window may need to be configured like below.

This is the way that you could prevent your local IP addresses being used for the web server or DNS. If you have more than 1 IP addresses than you could use the extra IP addresses for Virtual Network configuration. But if you only have 1 static IP address and it's being used by DNS or web server, you have to avoid using the NAT or DHCP through the VMWare Virtual Network.

After your Virtual Network configured like above, you need to manually remove the local IP addresses that created by VMware from DNS for immediate effect of changes. After the local IP addresses (sharing the same host name with web server) removed from the DNS entries, your web response time from the outside of network will come back to normal speed.
